In the years before André started working as an independent software architect, he has extensive experience as a (lead) developer, architect, project and technical manager of software projects. His clients includes (academic) hospitals, audiology centers or the world leader in personal hearing solutions. He is seen as a person with good analytical skills, who is very enthusiastic and passionated about his work. He is able to work as individual or in a team to get the best end result.

André has been involved since the early nineties in the developer community. Until 2005 he was a board member and as editor in chief involved in the Visual Basic Group and Visual Basic Magazine. He co-founded the popular portal VBcentral.nl. André is also involved in the International. NET Association (INETA). As Vice President of the INETA Europe Speakers Bureau he is responsible for broadcasting international top speakers to developer events across Europe.

André has written dozens of articles for both national- and international magazines. He is also the author of a respectable number of developer books. Besides writing about. NET software development, he is also widely appreciated as speaker on conferences or other developer events.

For his work for the national and international. NET community André received several times in a row the prestigious Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award.
